MEET ANGIE
I’m a longtime public educator, East Hartford Town Councilor, organizer, and activist, running for State Representative because many of the issues that matter most - healthcare, housing, fair taxes, and strong public schools - are decided at the state level.
For 25 years, I’ve taught social studies at the same school, bringing learning to life through global perspectives, hands-on experiences, and student travel opportunities. I’m proud to help students build curiosity, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the world.
On the Town Council, I chair the Tax Policy and Real Estate Committees and serve on the Economic Development Commission. I’ve focused on growing our tax base responsibly, revitalizing neglected properties, and advocating for fair wages, strong benefits, and safe working conditions for town employees.
I’m running to support a public healthcare option, fair education funding, tax reform that asks the wealthy to pay their share, and real investments in East Hartford. I’ll stand up for workers, tenants, seniors, and families - and work every day to build a stronger, more equitable Connecticut.
